The report is the distillation of our experiences over the last 10+ years to deploy capital in a way that might create positive outcomes beyond financial gains. We’ve learned from, and been inspired by, many specialists and great minds in the field, some of whom are featured in this report.
The first part of Perspectives on Investing focuses on internal processes to review and recalibrate Wyatt’s portfolio; the closing pages detail some of the more sophisticated outputs from this process, including the Catalytic Local Investment Fund, along with what we’re still grappling with and what we’ve learned.
The release of the report is timely given last month’s Australian
Impact Investing Awards where
Wyatt was named Impact Asset Owner of the Year. We’re very grateful for the recognition and the opportunity to share
our work.
We hope that by sharing our experiences, other funders and organisations that have the capacity to explore these pathways might also
consider what more they can do to extend their impact.
We hope it inspires other funders and organisations that have the capacity to explore these pathways, to consider what more they can do to extend their impact.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of the investing for impact journey with us. A special thank you to Professor Rosemary Addis AM and Dr Katherine Trebeck for contributing pieces for this report, the Economic Media Centre and the South Australian media spokespeople who shared their perspectives on poverty, and to the Lived and Living Experience colleagues who reviewed the report ahead of its publication.
