Respite Grants

Wyatt provides Respite Grants to eligible people to have time away from caring for someone or being cared for. As with all Wyatt Grants, eligibility for assistance includes:

  • 5 year minimum residency in South Australia.
  • Low income, ie a Centrelink income or equivalent low wage.

The grants are specifically for the purpose of one-off respite and should be utilised only when other options such as Commonwealth Carer Respite funding are not available.

These grants can also be used for compassionate travel where required.

Respite Grants are only available through referral from health or welfare professionals.
