WYATT TAFE SCHOLARSHIPS

Wyatt TAFE Scholarships aim to provide a pathway into employment. The Scholarships provide a contribution of up to 2/3 of fees to eligible TAFE students who are commencing or continuing full-time study on campus at any South Australian TAFE. This Scholarship is means tested.

Wyatt TAFE Scholarships are grants paid on behalf of full-time students to Institutes of TAFE to cover a contribution towards fees for selected semester length courses. The Scholarship may be continued for up to a maximum of 4 semesters if the student:

  • achieves pass grades in all subjects and meets all course requirements
  • continues in the one study discipline and
  • studies in consecutive semesters.

Wyatt TAFE Scholarships will be reviewed each semester.

WYATT ELIGIBILITY
You may be eligible for a scholarship if you:

  • plan to study full-time and on campus at TAFE
  • have lived in South Australia for 5 years or more (and are a current resident)
  • must be on a low income and have a current Commonwealth Health Care/Pension Card. Your parent(s)/guardian(s) or partner must also be on a low income.

OTHER INFORMATION

  • Make sure you attach all information as requested.
  • Every year, Wyatt receives more applications than it can approve.
  • Wyatt does not reimburse for payments already made.
  • "Fee For Service" courses may be supported at Wyatt's discretion.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Decisions to grant or decline applications for Wyatt TAFE Scholarships are made entirely at the discretion of the Governors of the Wyatt Benevolent Institution Incorporated.
  • You will be notified by letter of the outcome of your application.
  • Payment of course fees/kit/uniform is made direct to the Institute of TAFE or supplier on your behalf.
  • Note: The Scholarship pays a contribution of up to 2/3 of the course fees. Seek advice from Student Services Officers or other TAFE personnel if you require Fee Payment by Instalment for the balance.

HOW TO APPLY
1. Download the Application Form (below).

2. Complete all sections of the Application Form and attach a copy of your SATAC offer letter. If you have not yet received an offer, attach your SATAC acknowledgement letter.
Please do not wait for enrolment at TAFE to complete and forward this form. However, if you have enrolled, send a copy of your enrolment form with the application.

3. Attach photocopies of a recent Centrelink income statement and/or payslips for yourself and your parent(s)/guardian(s) or partner.

4. Attach a photocopy of your current Commonwealth Health Care/Pension Card.

5. Write a statement that explains why you wish to study, you must sign this statement (page 4 of application).

6. Complete the Application Form in full and send to Wyatt by the due date.

Every year Wyatt receives more applications than it can approve. It is important that you complete the Application Form in full (including all requested supporting documentation), applications which are not complete will not be considered.
