Wyatt is aware of the need for many students and families to access low cost computers. The following organisations provide low cost refurbished computers to people with Health Care Cards.

Digital Depot

Digital Depot provides access to affordable information technology to financially disadvantaged families and households and not for profit groups. Anglicare's Digital Depot utilises donated stock. The computer package includes a minimum Pentium III box with installed CD Rom, 56K internal modem, monitor, keyboard, Windows 2000 Operating System and open office suite software Works 8 plus 25 hours of free internet access, free training and three months warranty. The current sale price for this package is $329.00, including GST.

Advice and mentoring in computer use is part of the sales and support experience for customers. Customers will be linked to local organisations providing basic computing assistance, e.g., Neighbourhood Houses and Community Technology centres. For further information, please call 8209 5403.

WorkVentures Connect IT

WorkVentures Connect IT is a not-for-profit organisation that exists to build a just, creative and sustainable society by providing quality employment, economic and community development services, giving special priority for unemployed and disadvantaged people.

WorkVentures can supply affordable computers to individuals who have a current Centrelink benefit or Health Care Card. They can also supply affordable computers to schools and not-for-profit organisations. For example, currently they are offering individuals refurbished Pentium III computers for $339 (including GST).

Green PC
